Hi I’m Bern Alexander, working mum of a rascal load of kids, founder of FindAUniform. I was motivated to start FindAUniform in January  2011 after being constantly frustrated at how difficult it was to find a comprehensive, easy to use, national second hand uniform website for school, dance, nippers, soccer and the many different activities my kids and I do, when I needed it.

Being a  family that moves frequently for work, moving with kids across 3 states in 7 years, I know the cost of uniforms. I am a customer right now with kids from preschool to high school age, so I understand what makes life easier when you are constantly juggling.

I found noticeboards were adhoc at best and the school hand clothing store, if your sporting club/dance academy/school is lucky enough to have one, can be hard to get to when you are working and to find exactly what you need in the right size. Existing websites were still hit and miss – relying on individuals hopefully finding each other at the right time. Schools and clubs had no commitment to the one site. FindAUniform is an easy, affordable and green noticeboard to solve this problem.
